Good morning to one and all! On this beautiful day, I thank the Lord for your presence in my life.
Miracle Morning on Weebly - Day Ten Life S.A.V.E.R.S Program S is for Silence (Time spent in silent reflection) A is for Affirmations I will listen to the voice of God in my life. If I listen attentively, it will get stronger with every passing day. If I allow Him to work wonders in my life, the evidence will be in the results. If I think first what the Lord would have me do before taking a step, I will be blessed with the wisdom that He reveals to me. If I listen to the still, small voice, He will lead me near verdant pastures. If I strain to hear Him with all of my being, He will reveal Himself to me in His time. When I love Him deeply, I will love all of His children in return. When I am open to the Lord, He pulls me in the direction thath He would like me to go. When I love freely, I am open to hear the love of the Lord in my heart, my soul, and in my life. V is for Visualizations I visualize a world where peace flows from one person to the next in harmony and love. This peace is born from the One whose name is love, and it is as pure as a baby's first cry. When we gaze upon one another, we do so with understanding. When we touch one another, we do so from our very souls, so the other can feel the presence of truth and light within us. When we give, we give graciously and generously, without looking back. When we love, we love fully, vulnerably, and with all of our compassion and wisdom. We love without judgment, walk without worry, and trust that the Lord will make all things known in His season. When we live, we live as if our lives are our message, and we cry out for the word to meet this challenge with the same spirit of forgiveness and peace. I wish each and every one of you a blessed Memorial Day weekend!
Miracle Morning on Weebly - Day Eight Life S.A.V.E.R.S Program S is for Silence (Time spent in silent reflection) A is for Affirmations I am cherished. I am called by name by a God who counts the hairs on my head, who created the heavens and the sky, and still has time to listen to my prayer. When he created me, He knew that there would be highs and lows, yet He vowed to stay by me through everything that I would choose to do, every valley that I would walk through, and every moment that I would choose the world over His loving embrace. When He made a commitment to me, He did it knowing the full cost, and yet He agreed to stay with me until the end. This requires an everlasting amount of patience and a heart that is pure as the driven snow. If I keep all of this in mind when I pray, I will have faith as strong as the mountains and as unwavering as the morning sky. V is for Visualizations I visualize a woman who has to choose between her family and herself, her obligations and her destiny, her dreams and her calling. She sees what is directly in front of her, yet she dreams what she cannot see. When she wakes up in the morning, she sees her children crying silently in the night, and she prays that she can offer them today more than she was able to offer yesterday. She sees a future bright for them, yet she doesn't know how to get them there. She knows that change must come, yet she fears the uncertainty with which it arrives. She looks on the faces of angels and knows that she is going to fight like the devil to make it all possible. She gets up one more day, promising to give it her all, and hoping that it is enough. Miracle Morning on Weebly - Day Seven Life S.A.V.E.R.S Program S is for Silence (Time spent in silent reflection) A is for Affirmations 1) I am loved. I am loved by an everlasting God with wisdom and power that lasts to eternity. 2) I am called. I am called to be the hands and feet of God every day that I have breath in me. 3) I am chosen. I am chosen for one unique purpose, that is single and different from everyone whom I encounter on my path. 4) I am driven. The season is now and the time is mine to follow the call of the Lord in my life. 5) I am full of mercy. I have mercy for myself and I have mercy for others. 6) I am blessed. The Lord bestows His blessings in my life each and every day. 7) I am worthy. The Lord God offered His son's life to save us from our sin, and I am made worthy through His abounding love and kindness. V is for Visualizations I visualize a world where all are one. I visualize this world full of harmony and loving kindness. I visualize peace pouring through this world like a river, collecting all of our tears, and running free to cleanse us with grace and mercy. I visualize a land that is plentiful and abundant, where all have the same beautiful plants and splendid trees from which to pick the fruit of life. I visualize a journey that fills us with the spirit of fullness, where we are moved to help each other grow and become one. I visualize us dancing to our hearts' desire, loving and living as if this breath could be our last, and celebrating like children each day that we have rejoiced in this beautiful gift of life. Today marks the 6th day of sharing my Miracle Morning adventure on my personal blogsite. I have to say, I am getting more energized daily by this practice, although I have not yet reached the last 10 days stretch. Perhaps this is because it is not the first time I have done the Miracle Morning program; just the first time I have shared it consecutively on a blog where it will be accessible for all eternity.
Miracle Morning on Weebly - Day Six Life S.A.V.E.R.S Program S is for Silence (Time spent in silent reflection) A is for Affirmations 1) I am alight with the spirit of truth and life. 2) I am on fire with the word of God. 3) I am overjoyed with praise and thanksgiving. 4) I am thankful for the gifts in my life, in all shapes and sizes. 5) I am grateful for the people from different walks of life who accompany my space. 6) I am alive with a sense of wonderment and awe. 7) I am bright with peace and contentment. 8) I am greeting each new day with a smile and a kiss. 9) I am enlightened from within and my outside glows! 10) I am loved with a love that is abundant and everlasting. V is for Visualizations I visualize a path that is full of people. All of the people walk together hand in hand, although they are really linked soul in soul. They realize that we are all one, part of a larger whole. When we walk in alignment, our strength of spirit surges and our energy passes from one heart to the next. We are love embodied, and we give power from one person to the next with the nod of a head, the gift of a smile, or the touch of a hug. We spread joy and thanksgiving with the touch of our feet upon the ground, celebrating our connection with the mother earth. And with each step we take, we lift our eyes towards the heavens in a collective voice of praise and thanksgiving. E is for Exercise (Self guided yoga) R is for Reading (Peace is Every Breath by Thich Nhat Hahn) S is for Scribing (My affirmations and visualizations) How do I feel? I feel empowered! On the 5th day of sharing my posts through my personal blogsite, I am continuing to share a portion of the book that I am reading, as I promised I would in my last blogpost. Yesterday I shared how the "practice method in Buddhism known as contemplating with loving-kindness and compassion" works, and today I am sharing an example from the book of how it can be applied.
In the book Peace is Every Breath, author Thich Nhat Hanh gives the following example, and explains that it can be applied to anyone with whom we have had a difficulty; however, he uses the example of a father because "the suffering gets passed down from one generation to the next...perhaps from a very young age the father was subjected to cruel mistreatment by his own father, the grandfather. The grandfather poured out all his anger and suffering on this father; and now the father is doing as the grandfather did....the father doesn't see the second Noble Truth, the source of his suffering. Now is the time for his son to practice: Breathing in, I see myself as a five-year-old child. Breathing out, I smile to the five-year-old child still alive and present in me. Breathing in, I see the five-year-old child in me is fragile, vulnerable, wounded. Breathing out, I embrace the five-year-old child in me with all my understanding and love." Hahn goes on to explain a very important part of the equation that we may be missing, "the father doesn't see that he's causing suffering to his son, and to himself as well. He really believes that the way he's treating his son is for the best. In reality, it is not so." For this reason, Hanh suggests that we "take the practice one step further: Breathing in, I see my father as a five-year-old child. Breathing out, I smile to my father, five years old. Breathing in, I see my father, five years old, fragile, vulnerable, wounded. Breathing out, I look at this wounded child with all my understanding and love." Miracle Morning on Weebly - Day Five Life S.A.V.E.R.S Program S is for Silence (Time spent in silent reflection) A is for Affirmations 1) I am loved. I am created anew by the breath of the Holy Spirit, and I am loved. 2) I am unique. There is only one individual like me in the world, and it is my job to be more like me than anybody else. 3) I am chosen. I am gifted with talents to follow one purpose, and I am chosen. 4) I am cherished. I am loved by the Father through the Son and the Holy Spirit, and I am cherished. 5) I am called. I am being sent to heal those in need of healing, and I am called. 6) I am forgiven. I am loved by a God who died on the cross to save us all from sin, and I am forgiven. 7) I am created. I am a child of the One True King, who makes all things beautiful in His name, and I am created. V is for Visualizations I visualize a love that is larger than life. I see this love enveloping us all, wrapping us all in its blanket, caring for us all in its warm embrace. I visualize everyone that we need to be there in that moment. I visualize anyone with whom we have had a falling out, as this is a time for reconciling. I visualize all whom we love the most and hold near and dear to our hearts. I see all with whom we seek just one more moment. I visualize all of us coming together in a spirit of loving-kindness and compassion. In this love, there are only positive emotions of peace, love, and understanding. The only thing we can feel is the joy of the One who has called us here, and we know that we are reborn in his infinite love and mercy. E is for Exercise (Self guided yoga) R is for Reading (Peace is Every Breath by Thich Nhat Hahn) S is for Scribing (My affirmations and visualizations) How do I feel? I feel embraced. On the 4th day of sharing my posts through my personal blogsite, I thought I would share a portion of the book that I am reading, as I found it really insightful. The book delves into the "practice method in Buddhism known as contemplating with loving-kindness and compassion," which is part of the Four Noble Truths of Buddhism.
The book is called Peace is Every Breath, and in it author Thich Nhat Hanh explains the Four Noble Truths of Buddhism as follows:
In other words, Hanh goes on to discuss, the first Noble Truth is "recognizing and acknowledging our differences," "then looking deeply into them and their root causes (the second truth), we are able to see the way out, the path of liberation (the fourth truth); the transformation and cessation of suffering accomplished by taking that path is the third Noble Truth." Since this post has become lengthy, I will share the example in the book in tomorrow's post. In the meantime, please feel free to share with us in the comments below any peace practices that have worked for you! Miracle Morning on Weebly - Day Four Life S.A.V.E.R.S Program S is for Silence (Time spent in silent reflection) A is for Affirmations 1) I am joyful. I am happy in my daily journey, and I am joyful in my life. 2) I am loved. I hear my niece's voice calling out to me, telling me she wants to play, and I know that I am loved. 3) I am made in His image and likeness. As a child of the One True King, I cannot help but do great things. 4) I am called. I am lifted up, called to listen to the voice of the Lord, and I am redeemed. 5) I am enough. Every day that I breathe, I am filled with the breath of the Holy Spirit, and I am reminded of the beauty in the Lord's creation. 6) I am blessed. I am given everything that I need. I am provided for, and I stand under the protection of our Lord God and Savior. V is for Visualizations I visualize a mighty mountain. The mountain stands before us, beckoning us forward. On the days when we think it is too high, it calls us to its peaks, rejoicing in the strength that lies within us. When we reach the first summit, it calls to us with promises of beauty beyond belief that is just out of reach. When we make it to the next summit, it tells us that we cannot believe what the Lord has in store for those who love Him. When we surpass that goal, it calls us forward with an extra burst of energy, and we feel as light as children and as joyful as angels. When we pass that part of our journey, it calls us forward by a spring of new hope, promising us nourishment of spirit and truth for our lives. E is for Exercise (Self guided yoga) R is for Reading (Peace is Every Breath by Thich Nhat Hahn) S is for Scribing (My affirmations and visualizations) How do I feel? I feel motivated and loved. ,Today is my 3rd day of sharing The Miracle Morning Life S.A.V.E.R.S. Program with everyone on my personal blogpost to hold me more accountable. I recently retook the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and was reminded once again of my ENFJness, and how much sense it makes in my daily life.
To quote the ENFJ explanation:
And it also makes sense here. Not only does writing my blog allow me to express creativity through writing and hold me accountable, it also allows me to share a glimmer of hope as it is passed to me through the Holy Spirit. If I can inspire one person today, then they are happier, and in turn, so am I. Miracle Morning on Weebly - Day Three Life S.A.V.E.R.S Program S is for Silence (Time spent in silent reflection) A is for Affirmations 1) I am at peace. I am one body with the God of our lives, the God of all peace and understanding, and so I am at peace. 2) I am loved. I am loved by the Holy Spirit who breathes new life in me every day, and I am loved by my fellow man. 3) I am forgiven. I am made whole by the blood of the lamb who was slain to open up the gates of heaven to us all, and I can call upon His name for salvation. 4) I am chosen. I am living one life, one purpose, and I have one chance to make it holy and pleasing to God. 5) I am washed clean of my sin and suffering. I am more than my past, and my definition lies in who I am chosen to become today. V is for Visualizations I visualize a stream of running water, washing us all anew with its power and strength. I visualize the little ones dancing in the water, being made clean by the sounds of their laughter. I visualize pouring the water again and again over my head, letting it wash over me, and with every new drop letting go of sin and darkness. I visualize a thousand angels coming to join me, and we dance together in the light of day. I see the same water, plentiful and clear, made available to all in abundance. I visualize a day when we will all be able to stay under the water together, breathing in its cleansing powers, and marveling in the oneness that it creates. I visualize a rainstorm that carries us away in the laughter and love that the Lord has provided for us. E is for Exercise (Self guided yoga) R is for Reading (Peace is Every Breath by Thich Nhat Hahn) S is for Scribing (My affirmations and visualizations) How do I feel? I feel renewed by the breath of the Holy Spirit. Today is my second attempt at sharing The Miracle Morning on my blogpost to keep me accountable to a larger audience. As Hal Elrod who created The Miracle Morning says, the first 10 days of trying anything new are usually Unbearable, the second 10 days are Uncomfortable, and the third 10 days you are Unstoppable. This follows with the statistics that say it takes an average of 30 days (or 26 times) of doing something different for a change to occur. I am looking forward to the Unstoppable portion of this journey!
Miracle Morning on Weebly - Day Two Life S.A.V.E.R.S Program S is for Silence (Time spent in silent reflection) A is for Affirmations I am loved. I am loved by the One whose name is love. In this way, I am loved unconditionally. I am loved by a Father who forgives all even though He sees all. I am blessed to receive a love that surpasses all understanding. I am asked only to pass that love to all whom I encounter in my path. When I feel unloveable, hurt, and abandoned, He lifts me up and carries me. If I worry that I am not enough, He reminds me that I am a child of the One True King. He gives us the chance every day to love in this way, beyond all understanding, with compassion and warmth. Loving in this way brings us peace, and it brings us closer to our Father whose name is love. V is for Visualizations I visualize a mountain, tall and mighty. We are all climbing this mountain together, although some are further along in their journey than others. Sometimes we seek reassurance from others, and other times we are the ones giving reassurance. Sometimes we have a burden that is light, and so we can help to carry the ones of our brothers and sisters whose are heavy. We walk side by side in our journey, and we are nourished by the laughter of those who are alongside us on the path. We rejoice in the children's cries and mourn with those who have lost a loved one. Together we grow, love, learn, and lift each other up. We are as strong as our weakest link, and so we lift him up so that we all may be made strong. E is for Exercise (Self guided yoga) R is for Reading (Peace is Every Breath by Thich Nhat Hahn) S is for Scribing (My affirmations and visualizations) How do I feel? I feel the strength to try again. Today I am trying something new. I have often posted on Facebook my Miracle Morning observations, which started as a 30 day challenge and I posted then to keep myself accountable. I have since started and stopped the practice several times, although I always feel better when I am consistent and accountable with a morning routine.
So here goes...here is your opportunity to read the musings of my head, often fueled by the breath of the Holy Spirit, and always uplifting to me. This is also your opportunity to hold me accountable, and reach out if you see a day that passes without a Miracle Morning. I hope that they lift and inspire you too, and if you would like to be a Miracle Morning partner (kind of like a running buddy), please let me know! Miracle Morning on Weebly - Day One Life S.A.V.E.R.S Program S is for Silence (Time spent in silent reflection) A is for Affirmations I am peaceful. I am filled with a calming peace that is the presence of the Lord within me. I have the ability to choose this peace whenever I like, to come to a good place and be filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit. I can close my eyes and breathe, and be reminded that the trees are rooted through their stems. Likewise, we can come back to our centers, which takes us out of our heads. When I focus on my trunk, I can feel the stability there and know that acting from this place of wisdom is much more fruitful than acting from my head, which can hold a whirlwind of activity. Every time I calm and center myself, I come back to the Lord and remember that He is always present. V is for Visualizations I visualize a world where pain and strife are non-existent. I visualize a world where troubles and worries are no longer words. I visualize a world where love lifts us to a new place every single day and the chains of this life are no more. I visualize a world where all is illuminated by the rays of the Holy Spirit, and He stands in the center of our lives. I visualize a world where greed no longer has a hold on our hearts. I visualize a world where love is laughter in motion, and we are all dancing. I visualize a world where freedom is tangible, something we can taste, touch, and breathe. I visualize a world where light replaces darkness and each day is cause for much thanksgiving!
